Scott Silva’s path to real estate leadership didn’t start with a license.
It started with with a design team in the room and blueprints on the table.
Before he ever sold a home, he built thousands. Before ever marketing one, he shaped global brand strategy for billion-dollar companies. Before representing a buyer, he recovered $500 million in real estate and co-founded a London-based fintech firm.
That kind of range shows up in every insight into every detail—from how he reads a floor plan to how he structures a deal when he’s helping buyers and sellers in Lake Tahoe, Northern Nevada, and beyond.
A builder by training, a strategist by instinct, and a REALTOR® by choice, Scott brings more than two decades of experience to every transaction, and relentlessly practices the value that people always come first.
"I don't want people to just fall in love with the view," Scott says. "I want them to understand what's behind the walls, what's under the surface. A beautiful home should also be a sound investment."
A Career Built Across Disciplines
Scott leads the Silva Group at Dickson Realty and connects the greater Sierra Nevada region with major referral hubs like San Francisco and Los Angeles as the region’s Luxury Portfolio International® representative.
But before coming to Dickson Realty and before shifting to client-facing real estate, Scott led construction and development teams overseeing entitlements, permitting, environmental review, and residential production throughout California.
He later founded Greenstone Development, specializing in multifamily, mixed-use, and raw land projects—work that shaped his ability to assess a property's current value proposition and its long-term potential.
Scott's expertise goes beyond the job site. Earlier in his career, he was tapped by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to help manage and recover half a billion dollars in distressed real estate—work that involved navigating risk, regulation, and uncertainty across numerous property types and jurisdictions. That experience enriched his ability to lead in high-stakes environments—skills he applied to guiding sales strategy for two luxury resort communities developed by one of the West Coast's most respected homebuilders. Later, as the director of brand strategy for a global consumer goods firm, he developed marketing platforms that generated double-digit growth and remain in use across multiple continents. He then co-founded and grew an international fintech software company based in London—proof of how he manages complexity, communicates clearly, and delivers outcomes that matter.
That same strategic steadiness guides every transaction he takes today. Whether helping a first-time buyer in Verdi, Nevada, or a $20 million lakefront investor, Scott applies the same sharp eye and grounded presence to conversations with clients and colleagues who trust him for his market insight, professionalism, responsiveness, and ability to close with confidence and care.
From First Light to Final Sign-Off
Every turn in Scott's path has been deliberate—even if the route hasn't always been traditional.
A former professional rock climber, surfer, horse trainer, sailor, and lifelong outdoorsman, he's carved lines through fresh powder, chased trout in swift rivers, and paddled into waves before sunrise.
That same instinct—to move with purpose, stay steady under pressure, and create space for what matters—led him to reshape his career around presence, purpose, and family. Today, it defines his real estate practice: helping people make smart, meaningful decisions about their next steps.
